Discerning LBO in the background of chronic episodes of epigastric or abdominal pain ensures timely treatment and reduces the risk of complications. Atypical demographic presentation may pose a clinical danger that can be best avoided with standardized diagnostic imaging. We report a case of cecal volvulus in a male patient with a history of alcohol use disorder and pancreatitis. The patient underwent a right hemicolectomy with small bowel resection and primary anastomosis.
