Abstract: The intrauterine device (IUD) is a very commonly used contraceptive method among fertile women due to its high efficacy and safety. A very rare complication is uterus perforation and migration to the abdominal cavity, with injury of structures nearby. In this work three cases are reported with different organ involvement and a review of uterus perforation is made.Keywords:  Intrauterine device, uterus perforation, laparoscopy
