He is a recognised expert in the field of skeletal muscle physiology giving many invited papers at international meetings around the world. In animal physiology, he developed novel methods for quantitative measurement of metabolic activity in liver and skeletal muscles, as well as biochemistry of isolated mitochondria. Recently, his is focused on lipid rafts (LR) as vital platforms in signal transduction. His work is directed on the evaluation of LR contribution to cell signalling, proteomics and autophagy control in neuronal models of AD. In skeletal muscle he studies the role LR in the activation of residual satellite cells and the differentiation of myoblasts to muscle fibers. He chairs the Warsaw Division of the Polish Society of Veterinary Sciences and is the Vice-Dean for Research Affairs at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Warsaw University of Life Sciences - SGGW.
