Comments: The study provides a detailed account on different classes of anaesthetic and analgesic drugs that can be used for the management of COVID-19 patients in cases of intubation and mechanical ventilation in Brazil. This review discusses the broad range of drugs based on the clinical indications, pharmacological characteristics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and possible side effects; in addition, it also illustrates the particularities of the drugs when administered in COVID-19 patients. Lastly, it states that more in-depth studies are required on specific action of each drug in order to determine possible implementation in its administrations in COVID-19 patients.
