Comments:
The case description is adequate. It reports a fatal complication in the perioperative period, 3 weeks after surgery, in a patient with inactive IBD. The Discussion offers a thorough and detailed analysis of the findings of the present study taking all the relevant literature into account. It is well supported with briefly explained figures and table. The Conclusion is apt in recommending careful peri-operative assessment and treatment related to thromboembolism prevention for reduction of complications.

Further comments on the paper
Comments: This case report presents a fatal complication in a male patient of 62-years age, who had sagittal sinus thrombosis and multiple intra-cranial hemorrhages in both frontal lobes 3 weeks after microvascular decompression surgery for hemifacial spasm. This report holds significance as very few studies report cases occurring during the inactive phase of Ulcerative Colitis (UC). Cerebral venous thrombosis is a rare location for thrombosis with high mortality.
Q: Would you recommend this manuscript for further publication?
