Imaging Performance of a Multimodal Module to Enhance Preclinical Irradiator Capabilities

Purpose and Significance of Study: This study assesses the imaging performance of a new multimodal module of an OptiMAX device and finds it suitable for enhanced irradiation preclinically. 

 

Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of high interest for the journal Clinical Oncology and Research. 

 

There are several errors (already corrected in the galley proof) in the manuscript. The common ones are – 

 

·       Omission of articles, e.g., omission of “the” before “tissue” in the 5^th sentence of the 1^st paragraph in the Introduction section, omission of “the” before “efficiency” in the 5^th sentence of the 2^nd paragraph in the Introduction section, and so on. 

·       Omission of “,”, e.g., after “feasible” in the 4^th sentence of the 1^st paragraph in the Abstract section, after “pixels” in the 2^nd sentence of OptiMAX device under Materials and Methods, and so on. 

·       “X ray” must be hyphenated in all the places.

In the Abstract section – 

  In the 1^st paragraph – 

·       In the 2^nd sentence, “to acquire” must be replaced by “acquiring”. 

·       In the 3^rd sentence, “in” must be replaced with “of”. 

·       In the 7^th sentence, “for contrast of 32:1 and 5s acquisition” must be put within brackets. 

  In the 2^nd paragraph – 

·       “device” must be replaced with “device’s” and “laboratories” must be replaced with “laboratory”. 

In the Introduction section – 

  In the 1^st paragraph – 

·       In the 4^th sentence, “that form” must be replaced with “and formation of”. 

·       In the 5^th sentence, “imaged” must be replaced with “detected” and “cells” must be replaced with “cell”. 

  In the 2^nd paragraph – 

·       In the 9^th sentence, “do” after “BLI” must be replaced with “does”. 

·       In the 10^th sentence, “additional information” must be replaced with “information additional”. 

In the Materials and Methods section –  

  Under OptiMAX device – 

·       In the 1^st sentence, “in” must be replaced by “of”.  

  Under Radiographic performance – 

  Under Spatial resolution – 

  In the 2^nd paragraph – 

·       In the 2^nd sentence, “to” must be inserted before “0.95”. 

  Under Signal to noise ratio and homogeneity – 

·       In the last sentence, “these two latter” must be replaced with “the latter two”.  

  Under Contrast – 

·       In the 2^nd sentence, “Cu” must be replaced with “copper”. 

·       In the last sentence, “study” must be replaced with “studies”, and “to” must be inserted after “prior”. 

  Under Physical assessment of luminescence performance – 

  Under Spatial resolution – 

·       In the 2^nd sentence, “removed” must be replaced by “remove”. 

·       In the 5^th sentence, “to” must be inserted after “prior”.  

  Under Contrast – 

·       In the 2^nd sentence, “than for” must be replaced with “as the”. 

·       In the 3^rd sentence, “were” must be replaced with “was”. 

·       In the 4^th sentence, “system” must be replaced with “system’s”, “considered” must be replaced by “concerned”, and “were” must be replaced with “where”. 

  Under Biological assessment – 

  Under Cell culture – 

  In the 1^st paragraph – 

·       In the 1^st sentence, “were” must be replaced by “was”. 

  In the 2^nd paragraph – 

·       In the 1^st sentence, “respectively” must be removed. 

In the Results and Discussion section –  

  In the 3^rd paragraph – 

·       In the 2^nd sentence, “Cu” must be replaced with “copper”, and “we” must be replaced with “the”. 

  In the 4^th paragraph – 

·       In the 5^th sentence, “in” before “average” must be replaced with “on”, and “.” Must be inserted before “then”. 

·       In the 7^th sentence, “concentration” must be in plural form. 

·       In the last sentence, “began to be” must be replaced by “was”. 

  In the 5^th paragraph – 

·       In the 1^st sentence, “cells” must be replaced with “cell”. 

·       In the last sentence, “to” must be replaced with “of”. 

In the Conclusion section – 

·       In the 3^rd sentence, “showed also” must be replaced with “also showed”.
