Further comments on the paper
Comments: This single-center cohort study, involving 12 Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) stage C Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) patients, focuses on the significance of transcatheter arterial infusion (TAI) with drug-eluting beads transarterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) and DDP-H as a feasible second-line treatment after discontinuing lenvatinib. This is the first known study which shows that the second-line treatment after discontinuation of lenvatinib is associated with prolonged overall survival of BCLC stage C HCC patients. The improvement of immuno-nutritional status of these patients, assessed by controlling nutritional status (CONUT) score is a major outcome of this study. However, the retrospective nature and very small sample size are two main limitations of this study which needs to be resolved in future clinical trials. Few modifications are required in the manuscript due to a high plagiarism score that is 21%.
