Comments: This study addresses the psychological challenges of cancer patients during COVID-19 outbreak which negatively affects treatment adherence, survival rate and general quality of life. This study is of significance as it highlights the effects of pandemic which poses a psychosocial impact on vulnerable oncology patients who are at an increased risk of more severe infections. It focuses on the psychological benefits of online mental coaching sessions with oncological patients and their families, which represent a new and effective way to respond to people’s needs and to activate awareness necessary to maintain their quality of life by helping them to overcome the psychological stress.
