The study reports the outcome of impact of counseling for acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination in cancer patients. The Introduction lays down the basics for taking up the present study. The study is well supported with briefly explained tables. The Discussion elaborates on the rationale behind the importance of vaccination in cancer patients and adequately discusses the literature. The Results of the study show no significant difference in gender for vaccine acceptance and the concern of vaccine interference with cancer treatment is found to be significantly reduced with counseling of the patients. The report Concludes that better communication between oncologists and patients resulted in a high acceptance rate for COVID-19 vaccination.

Comments: This cross-sectional study reports the impact of education for acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination in cancer patients. The study holds significance as there is no published data on vaccine acceptance among cancer patients in Pakistan. Cancer patients are a vulnerable population with increased risk for mortality associated with COVID-19 infection. The study aptly recommends cancer patients to get vaccinated along with maintaining other preventive measures like wearing face masks, hand hygiene and social distancing.
