Discussion & Conclusion

Q: Is it related to the results presented before? Do you consider them coherent?

A: Very Good

Comments: The Discussion gives an overview of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and suggests early risk stratification in the determination of prognosis and treatment strategy. The authors also discussed the origin of adult ALL and the research was carried out taking into consideration different age groups. The authors recommended Allo-HSCT during CR1 for patients highly likely to suffer from recurrence. The Conclusion illustrates that adult ALL patients are more prone to relapse after remission and have poor long-term survival.

·       Under Introduction, 4th paragraph, 2nd sentence, “Exploring factors affecting… formulate individualized strategy…” should be written as “Exploring factors affecting… formulate individualized strategies…”.

·       Under heading, statistical analysis, 1st sentence, “Chi-square test or Fisher exact test… treating effects” is rewritten as “Chi-square test or Fisher exact test… treating effects” is rewritten as “Chi-square test or Fisher exact test… treatment effects”.

·       In Discussion, 1st paragraph, 3rd sentence, “Early risk stratification is helpful to determine outcome and guide treating strategy” must be written as “Early risk stratification is helpful in determining outcome and guide treatment strategy”.

Further comments on the paper

Comments: The research analysed and illustrated the clinical characteristics of 65 adult patients diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and put forth the prognostic factors to provide evidence for the stratification of prognostic risk and the formulation of the individualized therapy. The study has elucidated the overall patient data, treatment strategy, and efficacy of evaluation. The results also described the statistical and survival analysis of the patient data and screened out the valuable predictive factors.

Q: Would you recommend this manuscript for further publication?
