Further comments on the paper
Comments: This review investigates the challenges older Latinx immigrants of the U.S. experience while struggling to manage Type 2 diabetes during the pandemic of 2020. Lack of social gatherings due to diet restrictions, stigmatization, poverty and discriminatory treatment towards Latinx immigrants give rise to isolation and loneliness and pandemic isolation can significantly threaten illness management. This study also presents the successful coping strategies that depends on intersecting influences of illness severity, comorbid conditions and satisfying family, social and spiritual support which will keep the illness-related behaviors under control and will eventually improve their physical and psychological health and well-being.
