The Conclusion section emphasizes on the importance of a high index of suspicion and anticoagulant therapy to prevent venous thromboembolism in such rare cases. It also adequately discusses the literature relevant to this study.

Further comments on the paper

Comments: This is one of the rarest case reports, describing the clinical presentation, diagnosis and management of 3 patients who developed portal vein thrombosis (PVT) after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. It states that alarmingly vague presenting symptoms of these cases make the diagnosis challenging. Therefore, A high index of suspicion is required to facilitate early diagnosis and management of such rare complications.

Q: Would you recommend this manuscript for further publication?

A: Yes- Suitable to be published

If you have any questions and clarifications you can write to the journal.

Thanks,
