Purpose and Significance of Study: In the backdrop of the huge number of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) cases appearing every year, this study attempted to investigate the various risk factors for the recurrence of BCC through a retrospective analysis of 141 head and neck BCC patients, taking resection status into consideration.
Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of very high interest for the Journal of Surgical Oncology.
The manuscript contains a few minor errors (already corrected in the galley proof), which are listed below –
The common ones are –
· Omission of “the”, e.g., before “aim” in the 3rd sentence of the Background in the Abstract, before “significant” in the 4th sentence of the Results in the Abstract, and so on.
· Omission of “,”, e.g., after “guidelines” in the 2nd sentence of the Background in the Abstract, after “temple” in the 2nd sentence of the Results in the Abstract, and so on.
· “tumor-specific”, “watch-and-wait” and “two-third” must be hyphenated.

· In the last sentence, “bcc” must be replaced with “BCC”.
Under Results –
· In the last sentence, “.” after “contrast” must be replaced with “,”.
Under Conclusions –
· In the 2nd sentence, “therefore” is misspelled.
· In the last sentence, “the” before “surgical” must be removed.
In the Introduction –
In the 1st paragraph –
· In the 1st sentence, “caucasians” must be replaced with “Caucasians”.
In the 2nd paragraph –
· In the 1st sentence, “on” before “younger” must be replaced with “in”.
In the 3rd paragraph –
· In the 3rd sentence, “MOHs” must be replaced with “Mohs”.
In the last paragraph –
· “a” before “relapse” must be removed.
In the Materials and Methods –
In the 5th paragraph –
· “multivariated” must be replaced with “multivariate”.
In the Results –
In the 2nd paragraph –
· In the 2nd sentence, “were” must be replaced with “was”.
In the 3rd paragraph –
· In the 1st sentence, “border” is misspelled.
· In the 4th sentence, “a” before “R+” must be replaced with “an”.
In the Conclusions –
In the 6th paragraph –
· In the 1st sentence, “an” must be removed.
· In the 2nd sentence, “is” must be inserted after “this”, “which” must be replaced with “that”, and “not only performed on BCC” must be replaced with “performed in cases other than BCC”.
In the 7th paragraph –
· In the 1st sentence, “a” before “general” must be removed, “on” must be inserted after “advice”, and “or not” must be removed.
