Comments:
The case description is adequate. The Discussion explains the challenges in treating the patient in the present case clearly. It also offers useful suggestions with respect to the treatment regimen. The Conclusion states that renal pelvis and renal calices sarcomatoid carcinoma is a highly malignant tumor and difficult to diagnose at its early stage due to the lack of specific clinical manifestations. There are no standard treatment guidelines for this disease and most reported cases undergo nephroureterectomy. More data are needed in the future to make evidence-based treatment decisions.

Further comments on the paper
Comments: This case report presents the case of a 63-year-old man with recurrent left flank pain for two years. The pathological diagnosis following left nephrectomy indicated renal pelvis and renal calices sarcomatoid carcinoma. Sarcomatoid carcinoma is one of the malignant neoplasms characterized by the ability to differentiate into both epithelial tissue and mesenchymal tissue. Renal pelvis and renal calices sarcomatoid carcinoma is very rare in the clinical practice. The incidence of this disease is unclear. According to the literature search, less than 30 cases of sarcomatoid carcinoma are reported until now. This study describes the clinical features of this case and reviews the pathology, immunohistochemistry, treatment and prognosis in accordance with the available literature.
Q: Would you recommend this manuscript for further publication?
