Identification of the Preferred Interventional Approach to Trigeminal Ganglion Using Three-Dimensional Reconstruction Stereoscopic Model
Review Data
Purpose and Significance of Study: This study attempts to determine the preferred interventional approach to the trigeminal ganglion or foramen ovale using a 3D reconstruction stereoscopic model, unlike the commonly used 2D tools which limit the learner’s grasp.
Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of very high interest for the journal Radiology and Medical Diagnostic Imaging.
o The manuscript has a few minor errors (already corrected in the galley proof, except the highlighted one, which requires the author’s attention), which are listed below –
· A common error noted is the omission of “the” in many places, e.g., before “Meckel” in the 3rd sentence in the Introduction, before “V3” in the 5th sentence of the Introduction, and so on.
The other errors are –
In the Title –
· “Dimential” must be replaced with “Dimensional”.
· “3” must be replaced with “Three”.
· “Preferential” must be replaced with “Preferred”.
· “Measurement of” must be removed as an “Approach” cannot be measured.
In the Abstract –
· In the 1st sentence, “has been used as one” must be replaced with “is a”, and “,” must be inserted after “syndromes”.
· In the 2nd sentence, “done” must be replaced with “carried out”, and “lays” must be replaced with “lies” and it must instead be inserted after “ganglion”.
· The 4th sentence is a fragment and does not make sense. Therefore, it must be re-framed.
· In the 5th sentence, “relationship” must be replaced with “relationships”, and “complication” must be replaced with “complications”.
· In the last sentence, “to” after “potentially” must be removed.
In the Introduction –
· In the 9th sentence, “trainee” must be replaced with “trainees,”.
· In the 10th sentence, “2” must be replaced with “two”.
· In the last sentence, “in” after “model” must be replaced with “for”, and “clinical” must be replaced with “clinically”.
In the Materials and Methods –
Under Creating the Needle Trajectories –
· In the 2nd sentence, “xy” must be replaced with “XY”.
Under Visualization and Presentation of 3D Stereoscopic Models –
· In the last sentence, “as” must be replaced with “the way”.
Under Image and Statistical Analysis –
· In the last sentence, “that” must be inserted after “is”, and “of” must be replaced with “in”.
In the Results –
In the 2nd paragraph –
· In the 2nd sentence, “asterix” must be replaced with “asterisk”.
In the 3rd paragraph –
· In the 5th sentence, “significant” must be replaced with “significantly”, and “comparing” must be replaced with “compared”.
· In the 8th sentence, “the mean area” must be removed for the 2nd and 3rd times.
· In the 11th sentence, “non-arteries-penetrating” must be replaced with “non-artery-penetrating”.
In the Discussion –
In the 1st paragraph –
· In the 1st sentence, “stereoscopic…purpose” must be replaced with “the purpose of stereoscopic visualization of different surgical procedures”.
· In the 3rd sentence, “researches” must be replaced with “pieces of research”, and “studies of 3D…” must be replaced with “studies on 3D…”.
In the 2nd paragraph –
· In the 3rd sentence, “that” after “approach” must be replaced with “where”.
· In the 5th sentence, “The larger…chance” must be replaced with “Larger the area, the more likely”.
In the 3rd paragraph –
· In the 1st sentence, “of” must be replaced with “on”.
· In the 4th sentence, “du” must be inserted before “Plessis”, and “use” must be replaced with “used”.
· In the 7th sentence, “from”, “it” and “that” must be removed at the start, and “to” must be replaced with “in”.
· In the 8th sentence, “area” must be replaced with “areas”.
· In the 10th sentence, “distance” must be removed.
In the 4th paragraph –
· In the 2nd sentence, “of” after “difference” must be replaced with “in”.
