Entrapment of the Basilar Artery into the Sphenoid Sinus, With CSF Fistula, without Ischaemic Stroke: A Case Report
Review Data
This case report illustrates a rare traumatic skull base fracture with entrapment of the basilar artery into the sphenoid sinus, with CSF fistula, without infarction of the brainstem and cerebellum in a 40-year-old woman. The case description is clear and adequate. The discussion justifies the novelty of the case with reference to relevant literature.
Overall, the case report is well written and is suitable for the journal Radiology and Medical Diagnostic Imaging.
There are only minor errors (already corrected in galley proof). These are:
· In discussion, 2nd paragraph, 1st sentence, there must be “,” before “with”, 4th paragraph, 2nd sentence, there must be “,” after “cerebellum”.
· “Computer tomography” appears multiple times in the article which must be replaced by “computed tomography”.
· In conclusion, 2nd paragraph, 2nd sentence, “case of” must be replaced by “case in”, and “shows” must be replaced by “showing”.
