Discussion & Conclusion
Q: Is it related to the results presented before? Do you consider them as coherent?
A: Good
Comments: The Discussion describes the patient’s disease prognosis followed by treatment. This further states that STRETTA has been documented to reduce hoarseness and voice changes associated with GERD, where this is the first reported case for the use of STRETTA to successfully treat muscle tension dysphonia (MTD) with laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR). Lastly, it provides the possible and favourable methods to treat MTD and puts forward the importance of further research to confirm if STRETTA should be routinely used in patients with MTD.

Further comments on the paper
Comments: This presents the first reported case of muscle Tension Dysphonia (MTD) successfully treated using STRETTA in a 60-year-old female patient with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with a past medical history of Raynaud’s disease. This Report further provides the existing evidence in the management and treatment of MTD.
