Comments:
The Discussion section emphasizes upon a meticulous physical examination and a clear understanding of the clinical picture having paramount importance in establishing an early diagnosis of necrotizing soft-tissue infection or necrotizing fasciitis (NSTI/NF). Further the polymicrobial infection identified by wound cultures comes out as the dominant cause of the condition. The review concludes that the treatment of NSTI/NF is multidisciplinary, and the mainstay of treatment entails an aggressive approach with extensive and repeated necrectomy/debridement to completely control the progressing sepsis in the soft tissues.

Further comments on the paper
Comments: This case series aims to assess the clinical and therapeutic characteristics of patients treated for necrotizing soft-tissue infection (NSTI)/ necrotizing fasciitis (NF) and determine their outcomes. Necrotizing fasciitis is the most common type of NSTI and the most complicated and life-threatening NSTI leading to sepsis, multiple organ dysfunction/failure, and, if not timely treated, to potentially fatal outcome. The study follows a clinical diagnostic and treatment algorithm for the management of NF suspected patients and patients for whom NSTI could not be ruled out.
Q: Would you recommend this manuscript for further publication?
