Comments: The Discussion briefly describes Nasal septum abscess (NSA) and its occurrence among children providing relevant literature. The Discussion further highlights the importance of timely diagnosis in case of NSA. The Conclusion suggests the diagnostic tool required to detect the presence of subperichondrial/subperiosteal abscesses and identify possible causes and complications. Lastly, it states that an early diagnosis and immediate surgical intervention are necessary, followed by the application of parental antibiotics.

·       Under Discussion, 9th sentence, “Our patient’s case showes that a timely diagnosis is important in case of NSA because delayed treatment may lead to lifethreat complication such as intracranial abscess or cosmetic deformities” must be written as “Our patient’s case shows that a timely diagnosis is important in case of NSA because delayed treatment may lead to life-threatening complications such as intracranial abscess or cosmetic deformities”.

Further comments on the paper

Comments: The Case Report presents an 8-year-old patient diagnosed with spontaneous nasal septal abscess (NSA), which progressed to sinusitis (maxillary, frontal and ethmoidal), cosmetic nasal deformity (destruction of septal cartilage) and intracranial complication. The manuscript further describes the surgical procedure for the treatment of the disease.
