Dr. Gianluca Franceschini is an Associate Professor of General Surgery at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS, Catholic University, Italy. He is coordinator of integrated therapies for breast cancer at the Department of Women and Children’s Health and Senior Staff Surgeon of the Breast Unit at the institution. Prof. Franceschini specializes as a breast surgeon with expertise in the surgical treatment of breast tumors and oncoplastic techniques; over 3000 surgical procedures for breast cancer from 1 January 2010 to date. He has authored over 200 scientific papers in international journals and 15 textbook chapters. Specific areas of research include breast cancer treatment. He is a member of “REPRISE” (Register of the Scientific Experts for Italian Ministry of Education – MIUR) and is a founding partner and member of the non-profit organization, “Susan G. Komen Italia”, since February 2000. He has also been a permanent member of the college of Italian Breast Surgeons since 15th February 2016.

Aims and Scope
Surgical Case Reports is an open access, double-blinded peer-reviewed journal covering the scope of general surgeries like vascular, brain, abdominal, heart, head, breast, brain, neck, colorectal, and other forms of surgery.
Journal Surgical Case Reports aim to contribute to the progress of surgery by providing researchers and clinicians with an educational forum in which they can share their personal experiences and novel experiments globally. The journal includes a wide range of fields in its discipline to create a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal and our editorial office promises a peer review process for the submitted manuscripts for the quality of publishing. As a broad scope journal, SCR covers all surgical specialties in order to disseminate innovative ideas and lines of thought in and across specialties.

Biography
John Gahagan, MD is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Section of Colorectal Surgery. He has extensive training in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques including robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He has authored several textbook chapters and original articles in peer-reviewed journals. His clinical practice is focused on the surgical treatment of colon and rectal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease), and benign colon and anorectal diseases (diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, fistulas, fissures). He believes in patient-centered care and multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. He joined Stanford in 2019 and is excited to build a Stanford colorectal surgery practice in the East Bay and Tri-Valley area at Stanford – ValleyCare in Pleasanton.

He graduated in Physiotherapy from the Regional University Center of Espírito Santo do Pinhal in the year 2010. He has masters in Cellular and Structural Biology (concentration in Anatomy) from UNICAMP, PhD in Cellular and Structural Biology (concentration in Anatomy) from UNICAMP. Researches the neuroprotective effects of cannabidiol and HUF 101 and their interactions with the endocannabinoid system, in neonatal and adult animals after injuries to the nervous system. He is currently a professor of Human Anatomy at the School of Physical Education and Sport at the University of São Paulo in Ribeirão Preto, and at UniMetrocamp Wyden.), Carries out teaching and research activities in the neuroanatomy and microsurgery laboratory at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the State University from Campinas. The focus of his research activities is on teaching neuroanatomy in modern curricula, also working on the preparation and 3D documentation of anatomical specimens, as well as a description of the anatomical variations found.

Dr. Theodora Papamitsou is an Associate Professor in the Laboratory of Histology-Embryology, Department of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is the director and scientific coordinator of the Postgraduate Program entitled “Health and Environmental Factors”. She is the supervisor of 5 PhD students with PhDs’ subjects relative to Histology and Embryology. Her scientific work is proven by 40 publications in International and Greek Journals, 50 abstracts in International Journals, 2 honored presentations in International Conferences, as well as the writing of 5 chapters in teaching books. Regarding her awards/honors, she has two cohorts with “Honors” in Scientific Conferences, an honor from the Dean of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki’s Faculty of Medicine for her teaching in Medical School during 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, a Gratidude letter from Professor of Oral Medicine Kolokotronis Alexandros for her lessons about Biology of Bone Osteogenesis in Postgraduate Dentistry students, as well as an honor from the Greek Association of Biomedical Laboratory Science for her scientific contribution and her academic carreer. She has participated in the following Research Programmes: 1) “Immunohistochemical investigation of abortion material from women with recurrent miscarriage” funded by Greek Ministry of Heath, 2) ”Diabetes Mellitus and Alzheimer Disease” funded from European Union (Programme: Archimedes III) in cooperation with Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, and 3) ”Immunohistochemical identification of TNF-a, PPARβ/δ and PPAR-γ in abortion material” funded from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as Scientific Leader. He is the former chairman of the Anatomy and Embryology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University (Egypt); and Professor in King Saud and Majmaah Universities (KSA) 2009-2013 and Misurata, Faculty of Medicine (Libya) 2000. Dr. Hegazy has been supervising post graduate students in their thesis works. He is also a well-known reviewer/referee/editorial board member in more than 150 international indexed journals. Prof Hegazy is a Global Goodwill Ambassador (GGA). He is also an Egyptian Ambassador for International Program for Prevention of Child Abuse ‘My Body is My Body’.

Dr Narasimman Sathiamurthy MD, MMed (Surgery) received his Medical Degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2003 and completed postgraduate training in General Surgery from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2011. He further pursued fellowship training in the field of Thoracic Surgery with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia and Institute of Robotic and Thoracic Surgery, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, India in the year 2016. He is currently the Consultant Thoracic & General Surgeon in Hospital Kuala Lumpur and also the Head of Services for Thoracic Surgery Subspecialty in Malaysia. His forte in Thoracic Surgery is Uniportal VATS segmentectomy, lobectomy, thymectomy as well as sleeve resecrions. He is also one of the very few thoracic surgeons in Malaysia performing chest wall resection and reconstruction for soft tissue tumors, i.e sarcoma. Dr Nara also carries numerous publications in both local and international journals and has keen interest in training young surgeons. He also serves as a life member of South East Asian Thoracic Society and Malaysian Thoracic Society, member of National General Surgical Policy Drafting Committee and Malaysian Medical Association. Besides work, he is a keen hiker and diver.

Allister Gibbons received his medical degree from the University of los Andes in Santiago, Chile. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the Fundacion Oftalmologica los Andes after which he completed an anterior segment fellowship at that same institution in 2009. He then completed an ocular surface fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami under the tutelage of Dr. Victor Perez. You can submit your manuscript at Science Repository. Authors submit manuscript files and metadata & can request for revision. Publication Charges
Surgical Case Reports is an Open Access journal and we do not charge the end user when accessing a manuscript or any article. This allows the scientific community to view, download, distribution of an article in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited, under the term of "Creative Commons Attribution License".
In line with other open access journals we provide a flat fee submission structure on the acceptance of a peer-reviewed article which covers in part the entirety of the publication pathway (the article processing charge). The process includes our maintenance, submission and peer review systems and international editing, publication and submission to global indexing and tracking organisations and archiving to allow instant access to the whole article and associated supplementary documents. We also have to ensure enough investment to secure a sustainable model which ethically, legally and financially stable.
The publication charges for Surgical Case Reports are £ (GBP) 1699.

Why do we charge?
All articles published in Science Repository are open access. Open Access publishing implies that all readers, anywhere in the world, are allowed unrestricted to full text of articles, immediately on publication in Science Repository Journals. The Article Publication Charges pay for the editorial and production costs of the journal, for hosting the website, publishing articles online, preparing HTML , PDF and XML versions of the articles and submitting the articles in electronic citation database like CrossRef.
Our financial goals are to:
- Maintain the portal for best experienece
- Recover capitalization cost
- Produce sufficient revenue to allow for a sustainable and scalable publishing program, under continuous development
- Although we charge the minimum possible but we will reduce the publication-charge cost downward over time.
When should I pay?
Corresponding author or the paying institutions should arrange for the payment once they are notified regarding acceptance of the article. APC is exempted for cases in which a wavier agreement has been made in-prior to submission.
*We request an immediate attention towards the payment as the articles will not be published unless the charges have been paid.
Who will pay the APC (Article Processing Charges)?
Corresponding author or Co-authors has to make the payment on acceptance of the article.
How do I pay?
Authors or institutions can make payments by two modes as per their convenience.

Note: No taxes are included in this charge, taxes will be applicable as per the policies of the country of the payee. Additional transaction gateway charges may be levied on the payee.
Do I have to pay if my manuscript is rejected?
No, Article processing charges will not be applicable for articles rejected by the Editorial office.
Can I be eligible for wavier on APC?
The waiver request will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and will be provided accordingly.
*The Waiver requests must be made during the submission process and will not be accepted after processing of the manuscript.

Are reprints of my article included in the article processing charges (APCs)?
No, Article processing charges (APCs) do not include the charges for the reprints. Reprints facility is optional and should be order separately.
